The Psalms

Did you know that there are 150 psalms in this hymn book of Israel, making it the longest book in the Bible?

Would you believe that these books were deliberately compiled with a special purpose in view.

Furthermore, not only is the book of Psalms unique but the books of Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon form separate sections of the Bible and are commonly referred to as books of poetry and wisdom!

Unbelievable, right?  No, not really.  It has often been stated that we could learn the wisdom of God from reading the books mentioned above.  Moreover, the book of Psalms is the book of human emotions and the psalmist does an excellent job by capturing every and I mean every experience of your heart.  So it doesn’t matter if you are lonely, fearful, grieving, discouraged, oppressed, angry, weary, depress, happy, or full of joy, etc.,  there is a psalm that will reflect your particular mood and emotion.  Undoubtedly, the psalmists shows us how to be human and how to get God’s attention.

The Bible states, “for whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope” Romans 15:4.  So while you are mourning and adapting to your loss, please click below to find links on the entire book of Psalms for healing, hope, courage and comfort.
